Introduction :

SJF is running the Higher Education Sponsorship Programme SJF providing support to deserving and needy children who need career guidance, documentation, referral for financial assistance agencies, parent’s awareness for pursuing their higher education. The Programme has supported more than 520 students compete their higher education & get good job.

(Higher Education Sponsorship for teenager’s Girls and Boys )

Objectives:

To provide partly financial support to needy & deserving students for higher education or vocational courses.
To give career guidance to students according to their interest, academic performance, economic condition & other family situation.
To motivate & guide parents to support child’s education.
To give information about documents & admission procedure.
To generate awareness about importance of education amongst the parents.
To coordinate with other government institutions and NGO’s who provide special assistance.
To develop self-confidence by conducting personality development workshops and exposure visits.

Geographical locations:

The children for the Sponsorship are selected from the following locations:

Kasewadi
Lohiya Nagar
Ganj Peth
Janwadi

Support to promote the education:

For education of every child in the slum Snehdeep always promote to have a participation of parents. Through family awareness meetings Snehdeep puts an extra effort and motivates parents towards responsibility of parents. Once families are convinced they pay the school/college tuition fees for children Snehdeep provides helping hand to make sure children gets the quality education and support these children education.

Selection Methodology:

Identification is done through -Reference from FDP & other projects, good rapport with community nearby schools, contacting nearby schools. Awareness programme in community poor students & parents, old students in the project.

Selection:

Interviews are conducted along with parents.

Criteria for selection:

Marks, student’s socio & economic condition, parent’s motivation & support on the basis of selection criteria. Home visits are done after interview. Final selection is done by discussing individual case.

Educational sponsorship project financial help to students is very useful for their education and future career. Children are taking good benefit of this year.

Our Academic year starts from June. We had selected 23 boys & 17 girl’s students for Educational sponsorship Project. We helped 40 teenagers from this project.
